Jake Paul is now a ranked boxer.

Paul is sitting at No. 14 in the WBA’s latest cruiserweight rankings after picking up a unanimous decision victory over former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. this past Saturday night in Anaheim, Calif. The event took place at Honda Center and was presented by Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions.

With the victory, “The Problem Child” takes one step closer to his promise of fighting for a world title. The 28-year-old improved his professional record to 12-1, with his lone loss coming via split decision to Tommy Fury in February 2023.

Since then, Paul has rattled off six straight victories. Six months after suffering his first pro loss, Paul defeated former UFC star Nate Diaz via unanimous decision, and then followed that up with back-to-back first-round knockout victories against Andre August in December 2023 and Ryan Bourland in March 2024.

Paul would compete twice more in 2024, stopping current BKFC star Mike Perry via sixth-round TKO in a dominant performance. Perry stepped in to replace Mike Tyson on the July fight card after Tyson had a health scare. The Paul vs. Tyson fight would be rebooked for this past November, with Paul earning a unanimous decision against the former champion in one of the most viewed sporting events in recent memory on Netflix.
