Dustin Poirier’s final UFC fight at UFC 318 will be quite a sendoff.
The UFC legend squares off against former UFC champion Max Holloway for the third time in the main event at Smoothie King Arena in New Orleans on July 19.
Holloway’s “BMF” title will be on the line in the contest. Holloway has lost the previous two meetings to Poirier, but they haven’t fought since Holloway came up short via unanimous decision at UFC 236 for the interim UFC lightweight title on April 13, 2019.
Patricio Pitbull gets a second chance for his first UFC win when he squares off against Dan Ige in a featherweight contest in the co-main event.
Also on the main card, Ateba Gautier faces Robert Valentin and Paulo Costa meets Roman Kopylov in middleweight contests. Costa, who has lost four of his past five fights, and Kopylov were originally slated to fight at UFC 317, but the fight was moved for undisclosed reasons.
Michael Johnson kicks off the UFC 318 pay-per-view card against Daniel Zellhuber in a lightweight contest.
