The upcoming UFC 319 fight card in Chicago on Aug. 16 has added several supporting fights to the show headlined by middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis defending his title against Khamzat Chimaev.
UFC officials announced the new matchups on Tuesday.
Edson Barboza is returning to the lightweight division after spending the past few years competing at 145 pounds and he faces Drakkar Klose in an intriguing fight on the undercard. With a 3-3 record over his past six fights, Barboza goes back to his old stomping grounds at lightweight where he was a perennial contender for most of his career while Klose looks to add another veteran to his resume while also attempting to bounce back from a loss to Joel Alvarez in his most recent outing in December 2024.
The always exciting King Green tries to bounce back from two consecutive losses in a row when he faces Diego Ferreira in a lightweight bout headed to UFC 319. Green has suffered through a tough run lately with a 1-3 record in his past four fights, while Ferreira tries to get back on track after his two-fight knockout streak was stopped when he lost a decision to Grant Dawson back in January.
Former Ultimate Fighter winner Bryan Battle looks to continue his momentum when he moves to middleweight to face Nursulton Ruziboev in August. Battle has gone undefeated in his past five fights in a row, while Ruziboev picked up back-to-back wins with an impressive 4-1 record overall in the UFC.
Here’s the current lineup for UFC 319 with more fights still to be announced:
