Almost three years have passed since Conor McGregor last set foot in the octagon, but that changes when he finally returns on June 29 to battle Michael Chandler at UFC 303.
Ahead of the highly anticipated date, UFC released a spine-tingling new promo to welcome McGregor back as he fights for the first time since suffering a devastating broken leg in 2021.
In the promo, McGregor lurks in the shadows with the sounds of his signature walkout song— The Foggy Dew, which features vocals by the late, great Sinead O’Connor — playing in haunting fashion.
Of course, this will undoubtedly be just the first of many promos and trailers the UFC plans to roll out to welcome McGregor back to the promotion following his long layoff.
McGregor faces Chandler in the main event to cap off the latest International Fight Week with the card taking place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The fight also closes a rivalry that dates back more than a year when McGregor and Chandler were selected to coach The Ultimate Fighter 31 against each other. Unfortunately, plans to book the fight directly afterward ended up being delayed.
Now the fight is finally official, with McGregor squaring off with Chandler in a five-round fight at 170 pounds at UFC 303.
