Rountree also spoke to the UFC’s social media team about the designs, and how the shorts came together.
“I definitely wanted to put some type of Vegas element to it because that’s just my home and home of the UFC, and where I do all of my training, and where all of my guys are,” Rountree said. “So there’s some mountains that just kind of represent the landscape of of Vegas — not the casino part of it, but where we work, where we work out, and where we do a lot of our training.”
Rountree also said that the shorts express his personality out of the octagon. He might be a vicious knockout artist in the cage, but out of it, he’s a “normal” guy. The exciting 205-pounder showed he has heart for days during his incredible battle with Alex Pereira for the light heavyweight title at UFC 307 this past October.
