This is the UFC London live blog for Gunnar Nelson vs. Kevin Holland, the featured welterweight bout Saturday at The O2 Arena.
At one time considered to be a top prospect at 170 pounds, things never quite went that way for Nelson. Nevertheless, “Gunni” has been one of the better welterweights in the UFC for over a decade at this point. However, he enters this fight off a two-year layoff as he looks to prove he still belongs near the top of the division.
One of the most active fighters in the UFC, Holland splits his time between the middleweight and welterweight divisions but has been on a tough run lately. Losing four of his previous five fights, Holland is back at 170 pounds where he tends to fare better but he has a tough stylistic matchup in Nelson.
