UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira has more than 20 pounds left to cut for the UFC 313 official weigh-ins in Las Vegas.
“Poatan” shared a video on his social media of his arrival in Las Vegas, showing he weighed 227.5 pounds Sunday night. For comparison, that’s only 10 pounds lighter than what UFC heavyweight champion — and former light heavyweight king — Jon Jones weighed the day before he beat Stipe Miocic in November 2024.
Pereira has to make 205 pounds on Friday morning to make his title clash official with Magomed Ankalaev.
Pereira has shared in the past that he gains all that weight back in just 24 hours. For the Jiri Prochazka rematch in 2024, for example, Pereira weighed 230 pounds on his way to the arena.
The former UFC middleweight champion has never missed weight in MMA, and enters the cage for the first time in 2025 after a flawless year in 2024 with a trio of knockout wins.
