A battle of the strongmen could be upon us this spring.

Eddie Hall, the 2017 World’s Strongest Man, announced on his YouTube channel that he’s preparing to face five-time World’s Strongest Man winner Mariusz Puzianowski at KSW 105 on April 26. The event is scheduled to take place at PreZero Arena in Gliwice, Poland.

“I’ve been trying to get into MMA for a long time now, and the time is now,” Hall said. “The deal landed in my lap to fight Mariusz Puzianowski, so it’s not like I’m jumping into the deep end or anything. ...

“You’ve got to think, KSW as a fight federation, has got to be the best federation in Europe. I think I can say that. UFC’s got America, KSW has got Europe. So there’s no doubt, at some point, Mariusz has been the top-three, top-five in MMA in Europe, which is a hell of an accolade. That is like one of the most dangerous men on the planet.”

As of now, the promotion has yet to officially announce the bout.

Hall says he wants to get from around his current weight of 360 pounds down to roughly 330 pounds for the fight. Hall also says that he asked for two minute rounds, while Puzianowski wanted the standard five-minute round time, and they met in the middle at four minute rounds.

The British media personality will make his one-on-one MMA debut. This past July, Hall competed in a 2 vs. 1 bout at World Freak Fight League against The Neffati Brothers, and won by knockout.

Pudzianowski has had 26 pro MMA bouts, with 17 victories. The 48-year-old enters the bout after getting stopped via strikes in his past two contests.
