Bobby Green was telling no lies when it came to an alleged confrontation with Arman Tsarukyan.
The UFC Austin co-headliner took to social media earlier this week to publicly claim that Tsarukyan and associates attacked him at the fighter hotel ahead of Saturday’s show. Tsarukyan is scheduled to face Beneil Dariush in the main event, while Green fights Jalin Turner in the co-headlining bout.
According to Green, when a group approached him at the hotel, he punched someone that he believed to be Tsarukyan. On Friday, Tsarukyan released his footage from the confrontation, which shows him briefly grabbing at Green’s throat.
Watch below.
In the video, Tsarukyan approaches a seated Green and says, ‘You’re talking s*** about me.’ Green repeats Tsarukyan’s words, then tells Tsarukyan to “get your people out of my face.”
“We can do one on one,” Tsarukyan says, to which Green replies, “We can do whatever you want to do.”
They continue to jaw until Green appears to shove Tsarukyan’s shoulder. Tsarukyan answers by gripping Green’s neck for a second before they’re separated. Tsarukyan and his team head to the elevators, but return to confront Green again when they hear that an agitated Green is still hanging around the lobby.
“You started it,” Green can repeatedly be heard shouting.
A man then tells Tsarukyan’s team that the police are on the way and that “this isn’t the WWE.” The footage ends there.
Tsarukyan and Green have to get past Beneil Dariush and Jalin Turner, respectively, on Saturday night. Should they both have their hands raised, the seeds have been sewn for a future grudge match.
