Kevin Holland is sticking around at welterweight.
The UFC announced on Friday that Holland is set to face Vicente Luque at UFC 316. The event takes place June 7 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
Luque makes his 2025 debut, and does so coming off of a 52 second submission win over Themba Gorimbo at UFC 310 in December. The 33-year-old bounced back from a stoppage loss to Joaquin Buckley at UFC Atlantic City nine months prior. Luque was scheduled to face Nick Diaz on two separate fight cards this past year, but Diaz was forced to withdraw from both contests.
Holland makes his usual quick turnaround coming off of an impressive decision win against Gunnar Nelson at UFC London in March. The win marked a successful return to the 170-pound division after suffering back-to-back stoppage losses at middleweight to Roman Dolidze and Reinier de Ridder.
UFC 316 is headlined by a bantamweight championship rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley.
