A battle of top UFC bantamweights has been rebooked.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a matchup between Ketlen Vieira and Macy Chiasson is now set to take place at UFC Vegas 106 on May 31 at UFC APEX.
Vieira and Chiasson were initially slated to compete at UFC Seattle in February, but an injury forced Chiasson out of the bout.
The 33-year-old Vieira looks to bounce back from a competitive decision loss to upcoming title challenger Kayla Harrison at UFC 307 in October. Prior to that, the No. 4-ranked bantamweight in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings won three of four including decision wins over former champions Holly Holm and Miesha Tate.
Chiasson has finished her past two opponents and had her hand raised in three of her past four outings. The No. 5-ranked fighter in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings stopped Pannie Kianzad and past title challenger Mayra Bueno Silva during a successful 2024 campaign.
UFC Vegas 106 is headlined by a flyweight bout between Erin Blanchfield and Maycee Barber.
