Watch Ryan Garcia, Conor Benn get separated after heated exchange at Ring Magazine awards

Things got very heated between Ryan Garcia and Conor Benn at the Ring Magazine awards show.

The event took place on Saturday at Old Royal Naval College in London celebrating the best in boxing for 2024. The event also featured a red carpet where fighters, and those notable in the space were interviewed by various publications. British boxing rising star and WBA Continental welterweight champion Conor Benn was being interviewed by IFL TV when Ryan Garcia appeared, and the question was then asked if Benn would fight Garcia, and he said he would.

Then, things got quite spicy, and Benn shoved Garcia before a tense face-to-face, which you can see in the video below.

Benn most recently competed nearly a year ago, earning a unanimous decision over Peter Dobson in Las Vegas in February 2024.

Garcia is currently serving a one-year suspension after failing a drug test that had his victory over Devin Haney overturned, and is currently dealing with an injured wrist that requires surgery. The injury postponed a scheduled exhibition boxing match with Rukiya Anpo that was scheduled to take place at RIZIN’s New Year’s Eve event in Japan, but Garcia did vow to face Anpo some time this year.
