The UFC has yet to announce the main event for UFC 313 on March 8, but the card has looked like a Brazil vs. The World type of line-up so far with nine Brazilians in seven match-ups so far for Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.
The latest additions are Jhonata Diniz vs. Vitor Petrino at heavyweight and middleweights Djorden Santos and Ozzy Diaz. MMA Fighting confirmed the news following reports by Laerte Viana and Marcel Dorff.
Petrino (11-2) will move up in weight after suffering stoppage losses to Anthony Smith and Dustin Jacoby in 2024, dropping his octagon record to 4-2. Diniz (8-1) was 2-0 in the company when he got booked against Derrick Lewis, but ended up facing Marcin Tybura instead and losing via doctor stoppage.
Santos (10-1) won a decision over Will Currie to earn a contract with the UFC on Dana White’s Contender Series show, while ex-LFA champion Diaz looks for redemption after dropping his first UFC bout to Zhang Mingyang via first-round stoppage this past November.
