Islam Makhachev and Merab Dvalishvili are receiving that champion treatment.
The revealed custom shorts that the UFC champions will wear for their upcoming title defenses this Saturday at UFC 311 in Los Angeles. Makhachev defends the lightweight title against past foe Arman Tsarukyan in the main event, while Dvalishvili defends the bantamweight title against the undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov in the co-main event.

According to Georgian MMA reporter Giorgi Kokiashvili, the writing on the back of Dvalishvili’s shorts translates to “Better a glorious death than shameful life” in English.
Though Makhachev is set for his fourth defense of the lightweight title, this is the first time he has donned custom shorts for a championship fight. He’s been doing just fine without them, having recorded championship wins over Dustin Poirier, Alexander Volkanovski (twice), and Charles Oliveira.
Dvalishvili seeks his first title defense after claiming the title with a unanimous decision win over Sean O’Malley at UFC 306. He brings an 11-fight win streak into his clash with Nurmagomedov, who is undefeated in 18 professional bouts.
