Another fighter on the PFL roster wants out.
Just days after Patricio Pitbull got his unconditional release — which was confirmed by PFL founder and chairman Donn Davis on Thursday’s Town Hall with MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck — Kai Kamaka III is asking for his release as well.
Check out Kamaka’s statement as to why he would like to move on below.
PFL doesn’t respect or value any of their fighters. I’m done being quiet about it. Let me go too. You want to strip us of our dignity imprison us to your ever changing terms and drown our future potential. Let me go. I don’t ever want to wear your gloves again. @PFLMMA

“PFL doesn’t respect or value any of their fighters. I’m done being quiet about it,” Kamaka wrote on Twitter. “Let me go too. You want to strip us of our dignity imprison us to your ever changing terms and drown our future potential. Let me go. I don’t ever want to wear your gloves again.”
Kamaka has been with the PFL/Bellator brand since parting ways with the UFC in 2021. The 30-year-old is 8-2 overall competing under the promotional umbrella, and recently had a five-fight win streak snapped by Brendan Loughnane via split decision in a playoff headliner at PFL 9 this past August.
Bellator bantamweight champion Patchy Mix is also one of the notable fighters on the roster that publicly asked for his release. Davis told MMA Fighting he’s hopeful Mix can remain with the promotion.
