UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis wasted no time trolling Israel Adesanya for his emotional outburst at the UFC 305 pre-fight press conference on Friday.

During a back-and-forth war of words that erupted after du Plessis mocked Adesanya for comments he made back in 2020 about growing up in Nigeria and not learning how to bathe himself until he was 8 years old “when he insisted he no longer needed the aid of the family’s domestic servants.” After Adesanya was asked about winning on Saturday and taking the belt with him back to Africa, du Plessis countered by saying “are you taking the servants with you when you’re going back?”

That eventually led to Adesanya breaking down in tears as he took aim at du Plessis saying “he touched a subject there because I do this for my family … look, I am a f*cking human being, I am a man. I can cry and whoop your ass at the same time.”

The press conference ended seconds later so du Plessis didn’t get a chance to respond but he definitely fired back on social media after facing off against Adesanya on stage.

“Come on guys stop crying at the press conferences it’s not that serious,” du Plessis wrote on Twitter along with the laughing emoji undoubtedly aimed at Adesanya.

He then took it a step further with a photo that showed Adesanya in tears from the press conference along with the caption “I win the screenshot game.”

That likely references yet another ugly exchange based upon a photo that Adesanya shared earlier in the week, which drew some interesting looks from du Plessis both at UFC 305 media day and then again during the press conference.

Needless to say, du Plessis looked to get the last word with his post trolling Adesanya for crying during the heated exchange on Friday.

The fighters headlining UFC 305 will engage in one final faceoff during the ceremonial weigh-ins on Friday before finally getting the chance to settle their beef in the cage on Saturday night.
