Alex Perez sent a message to the UFC flyweight division, and all of the doubters on Saturday in Las Vegas.
The one-time UFC flyweight challenger snapped a three-fight losing streak in the main event of UFC Vegas 91 when he brutally knocked out Matheus Nicolau in the second round. The win was Perez’s first in nearly four years — a first-round TKO of Jussier Formiga at UFC 250 in June 2020.
Since then, Perez was stopped by then flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 255 in November 2020, followed by losses to current champ Alexandre Pantoja and Muhammad Mokaev.
Check out how UFC pros reacted to Perez’s spectacular win over Nicolau.
