Kevin Holland is not taking any break from competition as he books his fourth fight in 2025 for July 19, taking on Daniel Rodriguez at UFC 318 in New Orleans. Multiple people close to the situation confirmed the news to MMA Fighting following a report from Kevin K.
UFC 318 will take place at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, La., and features a five-round BMF title bout between Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier in the main event.
Holland’s seven-week turnaround gives him the chance to extend his UFC winning streak to three for the first time since 2020, when he won five straight in a calendar year.
“Trailblazer”, 28-13 with 1 no contest as a professional, stopped Vicente Luque three months after a decision victory over Gunnar Nelson, pocketing bonuses for both performances and rebounding from middleweight losses to Roman Dolidze and Reinier de Ridder.
Rodriguez (19-5) folded Santiago Ponzinibbio via third-round knockout this past May, boosting his UFC record to 9-4 after a previous decision victory over Alex Morono.
The 38-year-old now get a chance to go 3-0 after a skid against Neil Magny, Ian Machado Garry and Kelvin Gastelum slowed his momentum in 2024.
