Ronaldo Rodriguez’s UFC Mexico outing couldn’t have gone much worse.
Not only did “Lazy Boy” lose a lopsided unanimous decision to underdog Kevin Borjas, he also missed weight by a pound the day before fight night and apparently required hospitalization following the contest.
Rodriguez shared pictures and video of his health struggle in an Instagram post.
Accompanied by his wife Nina, Rodriguez appears to be in good spirits following his first UFC loss. The 25-year-old, who has over two million followers in Instagram, previously defeated Ode Osbourne and Denys Bondar inside the octagon, but saw a seven-fight win streak snapped with his loss to Borjas.
Rodriguez was also fined 20 percent of his purse for coming in at 127 pounds on Friday, one pound over the flyweight limit for a non-title bout.
In a previous post, Rodriguez made it clear he is making no excuses for the loss.
