Amanda Nunes, the most dominant woman in MMA history, will soon officially be part of the UFC Hall of Fame.
During Saturday’s UFC 314 broadcast in Miami, Nunes was announced as the latest member of the 2025 Hall of Fame class, which is set to be inducted June 28 in Las Vegas.

Nunes, 36, was in attendance at Kaseya Center to celebrate the moment and was overwhelmed with emotion.

Nunes (23-5) is widely regarded as the GOAT of women’s MMA. From 2015 to 2021, “The Lioness” was unbeatable, winning and defending titles at both 135 and 145 pounds while scoring one-sided wins over some of the best fighters ever.
Ronda Rousey. Cris Cyborg. Valentina Shevchenko. Holly Holm. Miesha Tate. Germaine de Randamie. Those are just a few of the names Nunes conquered as she ruled over two divisions with an iron fist.
Even Nunes’ last loss didn’t go unavenged. After a shocking upset loss to Julianna Peña at UFC 269, Nunes put a five-round beatdown on Peña in their immediate rematch at UFC 277. She would fight one more time after settling that grudge, defeating Irene Aldana at UFC 289 in June 2023 and subsequently announcing her retirement.
Though Nunes expressed a desire to return to competition during UFC 314 fight week—presumably to fight the Peña vs. Kayla Harrison bantamweight championship bout winner at UFC 316 on June 7—for now she can enjoy her enshrinement in the hallowed Hall of Fame.
Other inductees scheduled for the June 28 ceremony at T-Mobile Arena include former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler (Modern Wing), the classic UFC 236 title clash between Israel Adesanya and Kelvin Gastelum (Fight Wing), and producer Craig Piligian (Contributor Wing).
Nunes and Lawler join a Modern Wing that also includes such legends as Rousey, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Georges St-Pierre, B.J. Penn, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Jose Aldo, and Daniel Cormier.
