After Arman Tsarukyan was forced to withdraw from his UFC 311 main event bout with Islam Makhachev, Dan Hooker had some things to say about it. Now, Tsarukyan is returning the favor.
Tsarukyan was set to challenge Makhachev for the lightweight title at the January UFC pay-per-view card, but was scratched the day before the event due to a back injury. Hooker reacted to the situation on Submission Radio as he called back to Dana White saying at the UFC 311 post-fight press conference that Tsarukyan would have to work his way back to a title shot, and that “daddy can’t buy you a backbone, can he?”
On Tuesday, it was revealed that Hooker was forced out of the UFC 313 main event next Saturday against Justin Gaethje after suffering a broken hand. Tsarukyan couldn’t help himself but to fire shots back at “Hangman.”
“Karma doesn’t miss. Big mouth, glass hands - maybe just stick to talking instead of fighting,” Tsarukyan told Hooker on Twitter.
Unsurprisingly, Hooker had his own response to the top-ranked lightweight contender in the UFC.
“If only your dad pulled out quicker than your last fight,” Hooker wrote on Twitter. “Glass hand haha glass house”
As of now, no replacement has been found for Gaethje for next Saturday’s pay-per-view card in Las Vegas.
