Chase Hooper and Jim Miller are set for battle.
On Wednesday, MMA Fighting confirmed that Hooper and Miller will face off in a lightweight clash at UFC 314, which goes down on April 12 in Miami. The bout was first reported by McGregorRousey2 on Twitter.
Hooper is currently on a four-fight winning streak since returning to the lightweight division. The 25-year-old prospect recently scored the biggest win of his career, submitting Clay Guida with a first-round armbar at UFC 310.
A beloved figure in the UFC, Miller holds numerous UFC records including most bouts (45), most wins (27), most first-round finishes (12), and a number of other divisional records. Miller also holds the distinction of being the only fighter to compete at UFC 100, UFC 200, and UFC 300. Most recently, Miller defeated Damon Jackson via guillotine choke at UFC 309.
UFC 314 is currently set to take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami. While a main event has yet to be announced, the card is starting to take shape with a light heavyweight bout between Dominick Reyes and Nikita Krylov joining the card and a strawweight contest between Virna Jandiroba and Yan Xiaonan also expected to take place.
